The Suzuki S-Presso micro-SUV is due to be launched on the 30
th
of September in the Indian market, while that day is still a way to go let's dive down straight into the car’s variants and some features. The S-Presso will be available in a total of four variants – Std, LXi, VXi, and top-end VXi+.
Std:
The standard Std will be pretty bare-bones, but critically important features such as ABS, a driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders, a digital speedometer, and a speed alert system will be available across all variants.
LXi & VXi:
The LXi variant will come with an additional air conditioner and power steering. The VXi, on the other hand, will also add in features such as keyless entry with central locking, Suzuki's SmartPlay Dock audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, front power windows, body-colored bumpers, and wheel covers.
VXi+:
The top-end VXi+ will have all the features of the aforementioned 3 variants and will add in a front passenger airbag, 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with voice recognition, steering-mounted controls, rear parcel tray, body-colored ORVMs and door handles, and a 12V-volt accessory socket. One thing to note, however, is the omission of alloy wheels altogether, to keep prices low.
Powering the S-Presso will be a BS6-compliant, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, K10B engine, which is currently available in the Alto K10 but in a BS4 iteration. In Alto K10, the powertrain delivers 68 hp and 90 Nm of torque and is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional AGS (auto gear shift). The S-Presso will be launched in the Nepalese market by October. Pricing will start from Rs 22.99 lakhs and it will be available in 4 variants. Read more about the car
